Saturday, members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha-Oakland chapter in partnership with A Safe Place hosted a domestic violence walk for awareness to round out Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event hit close to home for many including Lauren Peebles, the president of Oakland’s AKA chapter.
